We’re excited to announce that Wyndham Basketball’s Term 1 Programs and Holiday Programs are officially open for registration! Whether you’re a beginner or looking to elevate your skills, we’ve got something for everyone.
Holiday Programs (January 13 -January 24):
Our Holiday Programs are packed with skill-enhancing activities, including All Girls Clinics, Domestic Shooting Series, Domestic Skills Series, and an all-new format of the popular Aussie Hoops – a Day Camp.
Term 1 Programs (January 13 -January 24):
The Term 1 Programs will include the Domestic Development Academy and Aussie Hoops, designed to provide ongoing development and training for players of all skill levels.

🏀 Join Our Team of Competition Supervisors! 🏀
Wyndham Basketball is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Competition Supervisors for Saturday games at Eagle and External stadiums.
If you have a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of our domestic competitions and are available on Saturdays, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the smooth running of Saturday games
- Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for players and spectators
- Liase with Officials/ Coaches/Domestic Clubs/Staff
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a “Working with Children”
- Agree to a police check

Key Coaching Course information for VJBL;
Coaches will need to have signed up for the online training course by the first round of grading (Friday 17th November).
Coaches will need to have completed the practical training course (Community – 2 hours & Club – 6 hours) by the first round of the season starting (Friday 8th March)
Should there be a change in coach during the season, the new coach will need to complete the relevant training course as soon as possible.
If there is a fill in coach required for a game, they will not need to complete the training for the one game. It is however recommended that anybody that may need to fill in as a coach, complete the training course.
RECOGNISED PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
RPL is available to coaches under the following circumstances:
COMMUNITY LEVEL:
- Copy of playing & coaching resume
- Basketball Australia Community Course online training (Link will be emailed to you if application is accepted)
- 1 x Coaching Reference
- Eligibility: Must have Head Coached for 3 seasons of VJBL competition equivalent or higher Cost: $10 per coach

CLUB LEVEL:
- Copy of playing & coaching resume
- Basketball Australia Club Coaching Course online training (Link will be emailed to you if application is accepted)
- 2 x Coaching References
- Eligibility (one of):
- Must have had 3+ years of playing at an Elite level (NBL/WNBL or higher)
- Must have Head Coached 5 years at a Victorian Championship (VC) level (VJBL)
- Must have Head Coached 5 years at a Big V Championship level (Not YL Championship)
- Be a registered teacher for more than 5 years, with experience in Basketball
- Cost: $50 per coach

All VJBL Head Coaches, coaching teams 1-3 need a minimum of the Club Coaching Accreditation.
