The 2027 VJBL Tryouts are Approaching!

The road to the next VJBL season starts very soon! It is time to start preparing, lacing up, and getting ready to bring your best effort to the courts.

Make sure you read the schedule and eligibility rules carefully below before tryout week begins.

Girls Tryouts (Tues 29/9, Thurs 1/10, Sat 3/10)

U12: 4:00pm – 5:30pm (Sat: 8:30am – 10:00am)
U14: 5:30pm – 7:00pm (Sat: 10:00am – 11:30am)
U16: 7:00pm – 8:30pm (Sat: 11:30am – 1:00pm)
U18: 8:30pm – 10:00pm (Sat: 1:30pm – 3:00pm)

Boys Tryouts (Wed 30/9, Fri 2/10, Sun 4/10)

U12: 4:00pm – 5:30pm (Sun: 8:30am – 10:00am)
U14: 5:30pm – 7:00pm (Sun: 10:00am – 11:30am)
U16: 7:00pm – 8:30pm (Sun: 11:30am – 1:00pm)
U18: 8:30pm – 10:00pm (Sun: 1:30pm – 3:00pm)

Important Eligibility Notes

These specific tryout dates are ONLY for players currently participating in the VJBL.
Invitations for brand new players will be extended after the “Brand New to Rep” tryouts.
U12 Exception: New U12 players are NOT required to attend the “Brand New to Rep” tryouts.
All other age groups MUST attend the “Brand New to Rep” phase to be considered.

New to Representative Basketball?

If you are interested in playing Under 14, Under 16 or Under 18 representative basketball with Wyndham Basketball for the 2026/27 season, but have not previously played representative basketball, these introductory trials are your first step.

Successful athletes will progress to the official Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) tryouts held later in the year.

Trial Information

Trial dates: Sunday 30 August and Sunday 6 September
Venue: Eagle Stadium
Cost: $25 per athlete (non-refundable)
Attendance: Athletes are required to attend both trial sessions

Eligibility

These trials are for athletes who:

Are seeking selection in Under 14, Under 16 or Under 18 representative basketball for the 2026/27 season.
Have not played VJBL basketball within the past two years.

Please note: Under 12 athletes are not required to attend the New to Representative Basketball trials. They will proceed directly to the official VJBL tryouts held during September/October.
