Wyndham Basketball appoint David Drysdale as General Manager

Wyndham Basketball Association (WBA) is proud to announce the appointment of David Drysdale as the General Manager of Wyndham Basketball.

David brings a wealth of sports management experience at all levels, including CEO at Tennis Tasmania, Senior Managementpositions at Tennis Australia, managing Lleyton & Bec Hewitt for many years and other elite level athletes including Alex De Minaur.David also has extensive community sport administration and coaching experience across basketball, tennis and AFL football.

He brings tremendous skills and experience and we are confident he will work effectively with the board and our exceptional team to execute the next phase of our strategic growth plan.  With someone of David’s pedigree and experience at the helm, we’re confident that we will continue to be the Association of choice in Melbourne’s West”  WBA President Paul Jones said of the hire.  

When asked about the opportunity, David expressed, “I’m excited to begin working with Wyndham Basketball, helping the organization reach its full potential on and off the court and continuing to deliver high quality programs, competitions and pathways for the ever-growing Wyndham Community.”

David begins his newest challenge this week, amidst the kickoff of the association’s largest-ever domestic basketball season and a defending championship run for Wyndham’s Men’s and Women’s Championship BIG V teams.
